Where running a 765 on alky and we would like to go back to Gaz.

39.5 PWK carb , when there coverted to alky can we go back to gaz?

Any of you guy have a starting point for the needle choice. I'm wondering if the stock is goog because for the cheetha it's not the stock needle in the 35 PWK.

I also run a cheetha cub 535. 35PWK carb : CEL/needle middle posotion, pilot 48 , main 148 , air 1 1/2 and it's perfect.

Your help is very apreciated.

Thanks

if they were setup on alky pwk cant be ran on gas again the tubes are drilled out too big for gas it will bog and flood out.

have to get some new carbs.
765 on 39.5 PWKs....that's just a tad under carb'd, wouldn't you say?? And why go back to gas, unless it's a class limits/fuel regulation issue...

We would like to run the 1/4 mille, we go the kit and it was suppose to be already tested. The alky is not running good!

I'm not going to mention the builder even if i should. Bought the turn key motor 16 000 $ ruffly. When it got to my shop it was seized from the dyno run the builder did

He send me new piston and told me exactly where to put the carbs at . After all the idle adj. Tried to do make a small pass 200ft it seized the same way. We got the right fuel pump.

That's why i'm looking for a alternative.

Can I change the dump tube.

If you have any recomendation for me Dajogejr it would be greatly appreciated. Is the 39.5 under carb for alky or only for gaz? And if only for gaz then what would you suggest.

All your input is apreciated.

Thanks

To be honest, I've never run or built anything that big.
That being said, Dan Hull @ A&S builds a LOT of big motors, and he uses the snomobile pumper 39PWKs on a lot of his builds.

If you want my advice...and seeing as you've already ponied up all that money for turn key bike a few hundred more aint' gonna hurt....

I would call dennis Packard and get a fuel pump, billet bowl set of Lectrons. He can set them up to your spec, they are easier to tune IMO, and flat out work. For that size motor, you're gonna want 48mm or 50mm Megatron carbs. That's my opinion, he may tell you a little different.

Give Packard a call...Dennis is very helpful and usually answers the phone right away....if not, he'll call back quick.

That big of a motor, to be honest....would be a waste to race and not run it on alky. But...Packard can probably steer you straight with a gas setup too.

Good luck!!

Thank you very much!

Going to call Denis this week. I agre with you it is a shame not to run on Alky.
