Your answer will depend on whether you are running a fuel pump or not.

A float is removed to increase the volume of fuel in your float bowl. This helps to keep the carburetor from running out of fuel while going up the hill or down the track.

I am not running a pump but neither was the guy I bought them from, thats why I was wondering. So I need to cut one side off then? What I really need to know is what height to set them at and if you guys use a different height with one side cut off than you would with the whole float in there.
It could be set just a little higher than normal. I'd be nervous running it without billett bowls too if they dont have them.

Got another question, anyone ever drill the dump tubes as far as they could and put a sleeve in there with the stock size hole so they could put their carbs back on gas? What size is a stock dump tube?
