I have a carbon build up in the exhaust port of my 4 stroke. I tore down after a head gasket blew and noticed there is a lot of carbon build up in the exhaust ports (too rich, or exhaust leak ) . I want to clean that up before I put it back together, but am not sure what to use so I dont damage internals (valve seals) or others. Any suggestions....worried carb clean will dry out o-rings.

probably a bottle brush and some soap.


I've used oven cleaner before but that will kill your seals.
