QUOTE (JP374 @ Aug 11 2008, 10:31 PM) index.php?act=findpost&pid=7991I was wondering if its is that hard to do? And where to get a tap at for forks caps? Thanks
Or if there is another way to lower it down? I slid the tube down but now I got eight inches or so sticking up past the top of the bars not really too crazy about that
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated

You know...I looked at this post several times trying to figure out why you wanted to cut and tap a shift fork tube. Then I realized that you had an ATC...lol. I am not an ATC guy, so I can't help ya, but I believe there are ways of lowering them down fairly economically.

LOL Yeah its a trike. I have it slammed down pretty good now but its the tubes sticking up past the bars that worries me dont want to slam down on them or have them slam up to me...

I have heard of guys doin this before was just hoping that one of those guys were on here or maybe someone knew of someone??

Cutting them isnt the problem its tapping the ends of the tubes after I cut them... I have to find yhe tap with the same threads as the caps. I havent gone and checked yet but im sure a local tool supplier might be able to get me the tap I would need??
