Yes it is. I will probably keep using it until I come across any structural problems with any of my builds. I will say that I would use chromoly more often, but not everyone is willing to spend the difference to have chromoly. With the price of steel increasing almost 50% since the beginning of the year.....it is hard to justify the cost of chromoly or even DOM. I try to keep my costs within the reach of my buyers. I always explain to my buyers that even the stock chassis are made with mild steel...and with the proper structural design and assembly....you really should not have a problem. The other reason I chose to use steel over chromoly is that I have seen have aftermarket "chromoly" chassis's crack at the weld points. Its really just my prefference!!!

Wow.....this post is pretty old. Things have changed so much from when I did some of those older builds.
Anyways...I need some shop bikes to show off some of my work. I'm building two bikes. One will be a Stellar hillshooter chassis and the other will be another lightened stock frame duner/dragger!! I have a few customer projects going on, so I hope to at least have one of the shop bikes done before dune season is over
