Here we go. Several sand drag racer, and street racers wanted to know what kind of HP and torque our good 10mm DM Banshee motor made. Here's our best dyno run so far.

That is extremely impressive out of a little old 10mm. Very good job Nate.

Here's where the raw cylinder comes from: http://www.cpindinc.com/

Add some blood, sweat, and tears, then some dyno hrs...and it's not that hard to do...lol
Nate, You keep posting numbers like that and I'm going to have to build alot bigger then I was planning!!!

the guy with the 10 in the video must of had a smile from ear to ear.
it shore put a big grin on my face when I made my first pass down the track on it. Those guys out west are probably glad it now resides in Oklahoma.

how are these comparing to the 10 mill cubs?

They should blow the cubs out of the water. plus they are making so much more tq.
I think the cheetah and cubs are alot closer to one another..

from my experiance cheetahs, stroke for stroke are not any faster then the cubs.
Good 10 mil cubs are within 10 to 15 HP of these...the torque spread is probably bigger though.

Like Nate said "This is our BEST 10 Mil DM Run"....
Here's my thoughts....

The cubs have been around a while now..the DMs haven't. So...it'll take these guys a year or two to go through the same learning and experimenting curve to get more out of the DMs... I'm sure there's more potential within.

Here's what you have to figure into the extra 10 to 15 HP to go to a DM.
Case work ($$$$$$) Pipes, intakes, head, cylinder, pistons......

That's a whole lot of money, IMO.... when you can push a button.....LOL...

If you're starting out...I see the DMs as a great idea. But like I told Nate last year, I have a hard time shelling out a few thousand (in HOPES I can actually get some kind of fair value for my old setup) to get a few more ponies... cause lets face it....you're damn near getting kicked in the nads and bent over trying to sell your old stuff now, everyone wants everything for nothing.....

You aint gonna get within 15hp with a 10 mil cub on THIS dyno! 95% of the 10 mil cubs out there won't get within 20hp. 10% dyno discrepency gets to become an awful lot when you start adding it onto these kind of numbers. I know what you mean about selling old setups tho Dave.... It's awful hard to do right now.
Very good point Bill...no two dynos are the same...

Don't take this the wrong way, either...Bill or Nate...but how many of these with the same numbers have you been able to produce...and at how many man hours for the porting.

You know as well as I do...sometimes you just get a freak motor...but can not duplicate it no matter how closely you copy it.

Either way...that is flat out impressive...
