i got my 1-4 override in and am wondering if i can put it in myself or if there is any little tricks id need to know? will it just drop in liek the stock one?

Should be like stock. Make sure you adjust the concentric adjuster before u put the cover on.

Yep, drop in like stock unless it came with springs for the shift forks.

I learned to cheat the eccentric a little up, because let's face it...upshifts are where it's at.
You're not winning races by downshifting....LOL.

I've tried to find a picture on the Internet to no avail. The clymers manual has it.
The shift shaft as it passes through the whole motor, the clutch side of it has what looks like two "hangers" that are spring loaded.
That's the best I can describe it....

Yep, the hangers are in somewhat of a C-shape around the shift star.

It is #4 on the microfish. It's the offset screw to adjust the shift shaft position.

Ya it adjusts the "C" or arrow shaped part that hits the pins on the shift star. Mine was off a bit when I put mine in and I had to adjust it otherwise mine tried to go in 6th gear which is gone. I had a neutral top and bottom.
