bike makes just under peak power at 6800 and carrys it all the way to the rev limiter.

I need to think about that some more... know it has plenty of carb/ intake.... maybe needs some more cam?

i think a shorter intake and some more cam/head work will help....i'm not disappointed. it just proved what i had thought all along about it pulling steady and not really being peaky.

Not sure how much a override would help.. seems to me those help folks who need to stay at a certain rpm.. from what you said... your pulls for a long way....
