CUB help need input

Well I purchased a 392 cub cylinder for cheap I mean cheap

But I am at a small dilemma I have a 4mil long rod crank here are my options

I can run the 392 cub cylinder with a .060 basegaket with the 4mil crank or would it be better to sell the 4mil crank and get a long rod stock stroke crank and run it that way.

I already have 39mm pwk's, shearer sb inframes, vforce 3's
will be ordering a duneable asap

So which would be better will the 4mil setup run anybetter than the 392 or will the 392 run better just need some input I have a 4mil crank just lying around.

please help
thanks
chris

Run cut domes...keeping in mind that it's not gonna run to it's potential due to port timings setup for a stock crank.
You could run 68mm bore stroker domes...but if you're at this point, I'd almost spend a few hundo and get the port timing correct.

Will it run better or worse than a stock stroke setup?

its gonna run good but it would run better with a stock crank just because the way its ported..send it to a builder and let them port the cylinders for a 4mil and u would be good to go but u are looking at having it reniked and a drag port is around 450+ so what i would do is find a stock crank thats been true/welded and run it then next year set it up for a 4mil..
I agree. It would be easier to run as is with a stock crank.

However...
You got it dirt cheap....spend a few bucks and get it ported for a 4 mil crank...

Hmmm
I already have pistons and domes for this setup
This will be play motor when the 10mil cub gets dome

If I dont get any bites on a stock long rod crank I might just throw it together with the thicker base and go play.

The 10mil will be done in a few months anyway.

We just did a 392 on alky 36pwk's and it will haul. They make great power for a stock stroke setup if done right.I'd say set it up for the stocker and enjoy.

To set it up correctly costs more money than I am willing to invest in it. To just put a spacer plates isnt worth it from what the other members have said. Plus I have to get parts for the 10mil build.
