I just picked up the programming software for the Dyna FS ignitions for the ATV's.

However, I'm running the CR250 ignition on one of the quads (250R) and would like to get the files for the 2000 CR and for the 2001 CR (I understand that they are different...). I'd like to use one of them for a starting point.

Can anyone that has these "stock" Dyna files email them to me?

I've called Dyna and they no longer have the software copies of these files.

THanks.

QUOTE (more-torque @ May 13 2008, 12:18 PM) index.php?act=findpost&pid=124Buttermilk, On Blasterman88's 370 we started with the 2001 cr250 curve and modded it for the engine.

Thanks More-Torque. The 2001 CR Curve looks like it might be a bit better overall than the 2000 version. Good reason to pick it as a starting point.

I wish I knew which CDI I have, but I don't guess it really matters.... I've made the assumption that mine is the 2000 version simply because it came off of a 2000 CR250 micro sprint engine.

I've been dyno'ing on the "stock" setting on the Dyna CDI. However, I would like to be able to re-load that same curve back into the box when I reprogram it. (My reason for wanting the curves)

The numbers on my Dyna CDI may indicate which year it is, but Dyna didn't seem to want to take the time to do the digging to find out which model mine is.

My Dyna FS is marked with these numbers:

1101093
0349

Does anyone know if that helps anyone identify what model mine is?

The boxes should interchange. And you can, of course, program either curve into the other box...
Our new CDI boxes are supposed facilitate clutch less shifts btw...we need to test that out...

Yeah, I knew the boxes interchange and that either curve could be loaded into either box. I just like knowing where I'm at right now for information purposes. Helps with my own knowledge "database".

That clutchless shift thing sounds interesting....

However, Hondas seem real friendly to just barely lifting the throttle and banging the next gear....

Yamahas on the other hand are rather stubborn to shifting at times....

I am having trouble getting these files to load into my Dyna software. When I try to load the files I get a failure to load error message.

I think I may be needing the other two files associated with these 2000 CR curves and 2001 CR curves. I think they are the ones that are the executable jar files.

Thanks.

There was a link for these files directly from Dyna. It seems they have been taken down. My rather weak memory seems to remember something like dynaonline.com/_brad or something to that nature.

QUOTE (FireHead @ Jun 17 2008, 10:13 PM) index.php?act=findpost&pid=3045That would help for sure! I am mostly interested in the any ant-kickback lower rpm timing adjustments that you made.

Well, I never looked on my home computer but I think it's this:

RPM ------- ADV
100 ------- x + 0
2000 ------- x + 7
3600 --------- x + 7
10000------- x + 7

x = whatever the value the dyna shows for the "stock" curve at each respective rpm range.

It works fine for me and barely kicks back. I've even started it in flip flops, lol. I have the plate at 0. When I had the plate at +7 (no dyna), it would backfire and kick back severely.

Cool...... That gives me something to compare what I am doing to.

You know my dyna fs has the same exact numbers as yours whith the exception of the last set of numbers. Mine has 0348.
I bought it from ebay and it was used on a micro sprint too.
I haven't altered any of the curves in it yet. Is it possible to look into the box to see what curves are setup to?
