You want to make sure you're taking off as much material as EVENLY as you possibly can, otherwise, you're going to have a wobbling, shaking and vibrating mess on your hands...
most the ones ive seen you can tell use tire irons. you can also buy tire cutters its like a cheese gratter that goes on an angle grinder for cleaning up tires for retread.

I use a tire groover and i cut about half the weight of them and put icepicks in the pdls the hook hard on hard packed dirt. i charge $200.00 + shipping both ways for this and takes about three weeks what size do you have? they will be about 16-18 pound rim and tire when done.

What size ice picks do you use?? How much w/o the picks....

That is without the picks,they cost extra.. We use different sizes most of the time use a 1 1/4 angle ones put five per pdls but it can be done different?
