So far the best has been early last year at Pop's in LA. It went a 4.41 at 71mph. I tore the engine down and found a clearance of .013 on the top end. With a fresh top end and a new custom intake to handle the bored 44 lectron, I know for a fact it will go deep in the 4.3's. She runs 14 extreme staggers with 78 rollout.
Is dirt that much faster than sand?

If setup is right, most dirt tracks will put a tenth under a sand track. This particular track has a very sticky clay type dirt, and the 60ft are great. She had a 1.44 on that 4.17 pass.
Bubba,
you talking about the Springhill Track??
If So.
That Track Hooks Hard
I could always account for a tenth to tenth in a half.

Fun Track,
Just Not much for Running Pro-Wedges anymore.

That's the one. I was hoping to catch up with you there one day. Guys that dont run the dirt really cant understand how hard it is to set up a bike to run on it.
haha your telling me, I've never once even seen a sand track

I have a 50 shot in it but I am running it thru a progressive controller set at 20% (which is around 12.5 hp) for 2 seconds. So I am getting a full 50 shot around half track. I tried to turn it up a little and maybe get it into the 4.0's and it threw the chain off twice. I just put on a lightweight swingarm and I think it is torqueing to the side. I never had that problem with my lonestar swinger. I am running a 16000 lb kryotreated sidewinder smartchain so I would like to think the chain is not the trouble.
It is tough to keep a long swingarm from twisting, I'd throw the chain on one of my old long swingarm Raptors if I used real aggressive tires. If you are only running a single rear strut, you might try 2 struts on the outside of the shock mounts and if you make them adjustable, you can preload the sprocket side. The advice on the other site about a panhard bar is good too, a rigid bar from the footpeg to the sprocket side of the axle will keep things from twisting if you can find a mount on the bottom of that side of the swingarm.

Those are awesome times, bring that bad boy to Alabama with a light jockey and you'll clean house in the stock frame class.
damn , a 50 shot !!

On my 250r --- 370 GAS- I went 4.33 with 1.58 60 ft with a speed of almost 72 mph.
This was also yesterday at Atoka.

Bubba was hoping for at least a 4.3 something-

But this looks like a perfect bracket bike- every run was from 4.33-4.39.
Now I just have to work on the reaction times- maybe this was due to my hands being FROZEN>>>>>

Other than the cold weather and wind blowing I had a great time racin with you and bubba at atoka. It was good seeing you guys again. I am also very impressed with the little ole 250r. I only know of a couple of people that can make them small bore bikes run like that. Very good dana.
how far are u from atoka , trent ?
how often do u go race there ?

I believe he lives an hour or less from atoka.
I live 40 miles from atoka in durant. We usually race there every month on the second weekend of the month. Friday night test and tune and races on saturday. We take the toy hauler and camp all weekend. Camping is free (no hookups so bring a generator) the only exception is on big weekends we usually try and go to little sahara and every now and then we go to sandplayaz and do a little river racin.
