i was wondering how i could mount a turbo onto my polaris predator 500?i wanna make this bike into a street/trail/sand bike i wanna make decent hp. is this a good bike to start with?if not tell me why.

Gotta tell ya, I love my Preddy. My wife rides it since I bought my Shee, but i ride it to work every now and then. I think it's a good platform to start with. There are a few aftermarket companies that sell some really trick stuff for them too.

Ever ridden one? Before you jump on the " I heart Yamaha" bandwagon maybe do a little research. I have smoked my fair share of YFZ450s, 450Rs, Banshees and 250Rs with my POS Polaris. BTW I own 3 Yamahas also, so that's not even an issue. All I am saying is until you "know" how something will perform, probably not a good idea to pass judgement, may save your pride in the future when you get made a fool by some POS Polaris.

I didnt mean to offend you I'm just going from my past experience with them. and about the whole "yamaha banwagon" thing, I'm a suzuki guy always have been always will be, but I'm not against other quads. I have riden a few polaris predators and was not impressed at all with their top end, but thats just your basic trail predator that some know it all 4 stroke crazed kid owns. I have heard of quite a few bad [censored] predators but I've never seen one run anything faster than a mid 7 in 500ft. there's still time to make me a beleiver though, and I would really like to see some vids of some fast preddy's. I'm always up to watch some racing

Not offended, just saying it's a good thing to know the facts before passing full judgement. Anything can be made fast with enough cash, we all know that. But contrary to popular belief, it doesn't take a wad of cash to wake the Preddy up. I paid 2500.00 for mine as a 3 time ridden repo and put another 7-800.00 into it. One day I will go with a 13.0:1 558 kit, +1 valves, port work etc but for now it's fast enough to win some and lose some but also a great platform for my wife to learn on. I just used the Yamaha thing as a general referance was all. Everybody has a right to thier own opinion and that is what makes forums interesting, if everybody agreed with everything, what would be the point LOL?

Anyways, PolarisPreddy if you want to use the Preddy as a starting point for a decent drag bike LMK and I can point you in the right direction for everything on the Preddy. I think it's a good idea and hope you decide to do it.
