bike ran the same times at the track with the big bore shearers as it did with the small bore rdz's.
granted I was using a bar with the big bores so I was learning how to ride with a bar.

I have a bad habit of lifting every time the front end comes up! to many years of riding with out one!!

If I'm not mistaken, Travis always ran gas...because he sprayed too. I think he might of went alky for a while, but went back to gas to tune for NOS, he's more comfortable with that.

JT uses Big Bore Shearers on his 4 mil.

I talked to Jeff the other day, he currently uses inframe big bore Shearers on his 10 mil, but he said he's gonna try small bore for giggles....

id like to see what else runs good , because im not a big fan of shears qaulity.... i know they run good.. but im not spendin $600 on a set of pipes that the chromes goin to fall of , and ive seen some not so good welds to....

i know they run good.. but so do other pipes that look better and arent goin to look like crap in acouple of months.

i was even thinkin of just orderin a set of them bare

Ive never had a problem with my shearers chrome falling off,,,get the show chrome and you wont have a problem as far as the welds if you plan on running out of frames on the dunes you better have a good rubber insulater between your pegs and pipes or it aint gonna matter what brand of pipes you got they will break!been there done that.

Well...Shannon...I got news for ya bud!

I have show chrome shearers, got them August of last year from Matt's "new Chromer" and it's flaking at the head pipe...just before the bend. I clean them and never dull them after any race or weekend of riding. Just a hose and soapy water, no power wash, etc.

First race I had them, the seam split. To his credit, I got them back quickly....very pleased.

I took them off two days ago to borrow to a friend, wiping them down...noticed the chrome starting to peel and flake off.

I love the shearer pipe, but I'd get raw next time and have my chromer do them up....

I asked Travis to join...haven't heard from him. But I haven't him post a lot lately on any of the forums..
Maybe he's lucky...he's actually riding and staying away from the keyboard....LOL....

Can't we all be so lucky??
