I am always #47a........If you add a letter to the end of your number then more than likely it will never be taken by somebody else. I have been 47a at tracks all over and never had a problem!!!

We pick our own, but stay away from well known numbers ( 1, 7, 21 and of course 69 ). I use to run 217. It's real easy to use electrical tape and throw an X (217X) on the back of your number if needed.

At Atoka they have a list of numbers that is used by all of the people that have ever been there and you just need to pick a number that is not on the list. Mine is 325 cause I got married on march 25th and it helps me remember my anniversary. My number has kept me out of the doghouse more than once.

I didn't even read who posted this...and I"m like...Wait a minute, my bud Roger uses that number at our tracks.
Then I looked.... It was my duh moment for the day....

First time I raced at my "home" track I picked 13....from the race program they put my name associated with that number. So, I use it now... Nice to get your name and number on the slips.

They randomly picked a number for my bike at PS in April....187.
It's hit or miss...
