Very cool!!! Im sure everyone of those would leave our outty in the roost. That orange V at the end sounds down right nasty.

I would love to expeirment with a turbo. How are getting the turbos to spool up good to really work in 300'?
goodsound , actually the automatics have no problem spooling up the turbo. you just holed the brakes and hold the gas just before it wants to push the front wheels and it spools right up to full boost ,just like a car it puts a load on the motor. the Manuel ATVs is the ones that are tricky (btw) your outty was runing good
Thanks, its my wifes actually, but I have a blast riding it.

I was referring to the manual bikes as far as the turbo goes. Ive always had it in the back of my mind to try a turbo on a DS650.

it is tricky ,but i will pm you . cant let every one know my hard earned secrets
anyone but me ever look at the turbo cars that run around at drag strips? i'll let the "cat out of the bag" whoo hoo. put a blow off plate in the charge tube from the turbo then you can shut the waste gate and spool it up big time with lower rpms then when you take off you shut the charge plate and wala instant boostyy

get out of the 80's turbos are a lot more fun these days!

but then again so is NOS!!

I have some turbo experience on my syclone truck...not sure if anyone knows what they are anymore, anyhow you have to have an automatic to get a turbo to buld boost at the start. A manual transmission isnt ideal for turbo's in my IMO.

Mark I think it would be cool if you put a turbo on the outlander, that would be ideal because you could power brake it to build boost to make it leave hard... it would be hard on the belt
......but it would haul for sure.

At $180.00 a belt for these stupid things, that would get pricey. But it would be fun. The wheelie bar would become a permant fixture.

come on man, if i did not no what a cyclone was i would not be a turbo man owned to back in the day lol . cam the wast gate is always shut until the engine reaches its boost point . the reason for what you see is to build bust faster for a pro tree, but will not necessarily help if you don't have enough load or back pressure to spool the turbo to began with like a Manuel trans has to deal with
