Ok heres the issue with that. You can delete your own posts.. but when a member can delete there own topics it causes issues, because as you may have noticed on other boards, if a topic starter deletes his topic all the posts under that topic are also deleted. this can cause some issues when a topic is started then months down the road a member gets [censored]ed at someone from the board and goes back and says i'm leaving and taking all my posts and topics with me.. they delete their topics and along with it all the info that was posted by other members.
That is why its off. This site is a pretty quiet place and our staff members are always looking for stuff to do. if you just drop them a note they will help you out.
