QUOTE (Hillshooter @ Aug 22 2009, 02:14 AM) index.php?act=findpost&pid=53942Is there any advantage of one vs. the other? Pics anyone? is there a difference and why?
I've done both. never noticed a difference in either besides the pulse line on top is a little easier to hook up/ disconnect when needed. Also it being on top it is a straight barb fitting not an L shape
Ive put mine in the side of the intake in between the split in the W of the reeds. I know of other people who tap the case to keep a nice clean look on the cylinders.
Yep, all depends on if you want the barb hidden and out of the way or not. I prefer the intake in front of the reeds.
Make sure you yamabond/seal the threads and the barb isn't sticking in the way of the induction into the motor.
Mine is in the side and I used a black fuel line for my tube and I've never had anyone notice it. I think if u were going to have a polished chromed bike I'd do the case or bottom of the intake.
